Meet the Writer: Logan Olsen

Introduction

Hello everyone, my name is Logan Olsen. I am an entrepreneur and the owner of the blog Growth Bridge Marketing!

I was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and grew up as a very passionate individual, and as such, I found success in just about all aspects of my life.

I got good grades, ran track and cross country, and had many friends.

Struggled, however, with my sense of identity. I felt I was successful, though I felt I had little direction in life.

Despite my efforts to reach goals, ponder, and read scriptures and self-help books, I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to achieve in life.

Rather, I didn’t know who I wanted to be when I grew up.

However, in my second year of high school decided to join a group called DECA

Deca and Discovering my passion in business

For anyone who doesn’t know, Deca is a business group where high school students compete and test their knowledge and business skills through interviews with judges.

So I signed up for my first competition. I chose to test my skills in marketing. I walked into the first interview with my head held high, confident I would win.

I got last place.

I realized I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

Despite my ignorance, I had a desire to learn.

So I studied marketing and developed my skills week after week-month after month. Finally, I started finding success in these competitions.

Even though it was a commitment to go to the deca practices and competition, learning and achieving these goals lit a fire in me.

Since then, I’ve known I wanted to start a business!

However, one of the biggest flaws of the American school system is that the curriculum doesn’t include topics like ”How to find your career path.”

So, after I graduated from high school, I lived in Canada for a few years, and I came back wanting to start a business.

However, I once again knew absolutely nothing.

After some research, I developed Growth Bridge Marketing

This blog is specifically tailored to those who are still attending college. However, the tips, tricks, and insights can be used by all people.

The reason I decided to create this was because there are many people out there who were just like me: lost.
