Hello everyone,

Written by College students: For college students
Chances are, if you are reading this, you might be a young chap in college wanting to do more with your life.
Hopes of being financially free and living the life of your dreams.
Starting a business sounds like the right way to go, but you're unsure of where to go or where to even start.
The confusion is crippling… or at least a little head-scratching.
Welp, you came to the right place. I’m here to help.
Here's how to start a business in 3 Simple steps.
Step One: Find your why
The first step to almost any self-mastery and improvement journey is to think and discover why you want to start a business in the first place.
Not long ago, I was in your exact position not too long ago
I knew for a fact that I wanted to start a business, but I had absolutely no clue where even to begin.
After some soul-searching, I found that I wanted to start a business because I had a vision of starting something from the ground up and being proud of what I created and, ultimately, of myself.
Because of this discovery, I somehow found the courage to start this brand, Growth Bridge Marketing
Knowing my why motivates and empowers me to continue despite the fear of failure or rejection
PLEASE KNOW YOUR WHY!
Here’s one way that I would recommend to figure out your why:
You can do this all at once or over time
Just be sure to take time to really think and do some soul-searching
Find a notebook and a pencil
Write down the top 50 values you hold ( e.g., Family, beliefs, Freedom, etc.… )
After completing this list, take a look and widdle down the list to the top 10 values you have
Take another good look at the list
Take the list down to the top 3 values you hold
Now that you have your top three values, Make mission statements for why a business will support each value (In the future, I will be able to spend as much time as I want with my children if I start a business)
Optional: write one mission statement that encompasses all three values
Simple yet effective process to consider why a business is in the first place
Step Two: Decided what
Now that you’ve gotten this far, you’ve already done better than most people in the world
Next, you ought to find a business model that works for you.
Finding the business that fits your values and long-term desires is very crucial to this whole process
Because you are in college and have other responsibilities and limitations, I would suggest researching businesses with the following criteria
Low starting Cost
Flexible time scheduling
Scalable in the future
From all that I’ve learned about business
Here are my top businesses to look into that fit those three business ideals
This model is personally my favorite for a couple of reasons
It’s super simple to start and maintain; pick something you're passionate about and could talk someone's ear off for hours. Then, write at least one article a week about something you feel would be useful to your audience.
Advertise on social media
Add an affiliate or a subscription plan
Super scalable to be a consulting business or an E-book business or whatever you can think of
SAAS start up
In the early 2000’s to start a business selling software, you’d need to receive a lot of money in venture capital and be really tech-savvy
Now you just need a really good idea and a good fiver freelancer to program the software
Recently, I wrote a blog post describing the way to make 6 figures in a couple of months with this model

Affiliate Marketing
This is out of all of the businesses I mentioned before; this would be the shortest learning curve, especially for those who are just starting out and want a low-risk way to make extra cash.
Why is this so low risk?
Because, unlike an e-commerce store, no product needs to be purchased on your end. Everything is bought through the manufacturer
Yep, virtually no upfront cost is needed, all you need to do is market the product

These are just some of my suggestions for some to look into but there are thousands of businesses and markets to look into that fit those criteria
Just find a business that fits your why statement and go from there
Step Three: Start!
Step three is, in my opinion, the biggest step in this whole process
But it is also the most important
The common misconception, however, is that because it's the most important, it needs to be perfect. This, however could not be farther from the truth
Anyone successful in business once was in your position.
Overall tips to start:
Discover your fears: Similar to finding your why. You can even use the same process. The only difference is that finding your why comes down to learning your desires. Finding your fears is discovering what is holding you back.
Make goals: Please set deadlines for yourself with every step you can. This will help you see the progress you are making.
Be consistent: This will be very hard while in college but will be the best practice for your business success.
Conclusion
Don’t be too hard on yourself for not being where you want to be in life. Just reading this post shows a lot about your desire for this. Learning this will be a difficult journey, but I hope it will become the most fulfilling part of your life.
